The intervention in the Lisbon Post Office Building of CTT, located in Cabo Ruivo, focused on the installation of metal reinforcements on beams and columns, along with the surface repair of damaged structural elements. 

Steps and implementing techniques

The damaged sections of structural elements were first reconstructed using high-strength, controlled-shrinkage repair mortar.

After chiseling the concrete to ensure proper adhesion of the epoxy bonding resin, the reinforcement profiles and plates were installed. These metal elements were previously sandblasted and their exposed surfaces treated for corrosion protection. The metal components were anchored to the concrete using steel bushings and epoxy resin applied by injection.
